We had lunch at a trendy little spot and got back on the road. We made
it to Franz Josef around 4pm and headed straight for the visitor centre. We
found out how to drive to the glacier (the trail to hike there was closed due
to inclement weather, damn) and we were there by a quarter to 5. The light was
fading fast so we hoofed it up to the best lookout and got our first glimpse of
the glacier. It was pretty neat but I was kind of disappointed.
